We recently added central air conditioning to our 1870's rowhouse in Philadelphia's Fairmount neighborhood, and cannot overstate our praise for Creative Comfort Solutions. We originally solicited bids from 3 A/C contractors, and while Creative Comfort Solutions was the lowest bid, what really cemented our choice was the sense that their team would take our interests to heart and find a way to make the job work. We met with owner Michael Gill and his foreman Joseph Notte, who immediately understood our concerns for preserving the historic integrity of our home by avoiding obtrusive soffits and bulkheads wherever possible. As their name suggests, they came up with a variety of creative solutions and outlined the pros and cons of each so that we could make our own informed decision. Ultimately, we decided on a 2.5 ton Unico high velocity system to feed the upper floors (which was compact enough to snake through our meager attic space) and a Mitsubishi heat pump system for the first floor (fed from our basement).
Joseph, Shawn Chapman, Will Morrison, and the other members of their crew were extremely efficient, careful, and considerate throughout the job. They started the day after we signed the contract and worked like clockwork through the following 6 days, taking care to protect our floors and furnishings, clean daily, and review with us all important decisions along the way - such as placement of floor registers, thermostats, and condenser units - often anticipating what we would opt for. Their team was especially accommodating of our work-from-home arrangements and always took care to forewarn us of upcoming workplans so that we could plan our days accordingly.
We are delighted with the outcome - a comfortable, quiet, barely noticeable system that preserves our home's architecture... and a contractor that we have complete trust in and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

They came up with a creative solution to provide AC to our 3-story Philadelphia row home, which other vendors were not able to provide. Creative Comfort was instrumental in the HVAC conversion of our 120 year old house. It was quite an undertaking and Joe Notte and his team did a fantastic job - responsive, very professional and competent. Joe dealt with every one of our concerns and our high level of input on a timely basis. In the end it was truly a collaborative effort which led to a successful installation. Creative Comfort Solutions quickly scheduled an HVAC inspection for a client who was under contract to purchase a home. We had concerns about the HVAC system to Creative Comfort Solutions completed a thorough inspection and patiently explained the results and provided a written report. Their work provided my client with the necessary information to decide how to proceed. I highly recommend them!
Creative Comfort had to do two complete heat and ac systems in an old Victorian that is being remodeled/repaired, working with me and my schedule as well as the electricians, etc. No power, no AC to give them any breaks from the heat and humidity. It wasnt an easy task. They did a phenomenal job. We couldnt be happier. The systems that they put together and recommended work really well in this old house. Highly recommend and I'd definitely use their services again.
